Gosh! Has it really been 8 months since I moved my studio from WA? It feels simultaneously as though its been 8 years and 8 days! I feel like I've been on a bit of a roller coaster ride over these months, moving a studio and reestablishing it in a new city has been extremely hard work (not to mention moving the family and all that entailed).

I have been immensely fortunate to have meet many wonderful people during my workshops over the year. Hoards of talented and enthusiastic kids have spent time with me creating Koalas to Christmas Decoration.

I think probably over 200 adult students have joined me in my studio to rediscover the joy of hand-building with clay. The quiet satisfaction of making with your hands can be extremely addictive (don't I know it!). I still love eating from and serving off my own creations, even after over 20 years of working with clay.

Next year will see plenty more fun and functional clay workshops for adults and school holiday workshops for kids.

For many years in Perth I have held an end of year studio sale to celebrate the end of year, allow all my supporters the opportunity to visit the studio and purchase a bargain or two.
I'm keen to reinstate this tradition and am having a studio sale in mid-December. Just in time for Christmas!

One of my new staff members has her own clay practice and along with a couple more of her clay friends we will exhibit together in my space in Northcote. There will be lots and lots of seconds at great prices as well as my normal stock at 20% off.

I have a huge number of dinner plates and side plates that have flaws, making them unsuitable for retail sale, but great seconds! To make room for new stock I'm selling them at $10 - $15each (retail they range between $30 - $65 each), so make sure you get in quick to grab a set!
